Beyond the Basics: 3 Canva Tricks You Need to Try Today

Canva is one of the more powerful tools for businesses of all sizes. While it's not as robust as a huge design tool like Adobe Illustrator, it's definitely got its benefits.

Here are 3 things you didn't know you could do in Canva for this week!

1 - Download Reels without the watermark

For marketers around the work, downloading pre-posted content to share on another platform is a content hack worth having! But what about the pesky watermark?

You never want to post with the watermark if you can help it, but where do you turn?

Canva's integration with Instagram makes downloading ANY content (not just reels) easy-peasy.

All you need to do is sign in to Instagram through Canva, open the integration app, then you'll be able to pull your reel into a new design and resave it with any edits and tunes you may have built the original with WITHOUT THE WATERMARK!

A much simpler solution than going to some third-party site that nobody knows to try and get your watermark removed or having to crop the content altogether.

PRO TIP: If you're using Instagram to edit your reels, you can actually save the video BEFORE you post and use it on another platform (without the audio, of course).

2 - Create a variety of QR codes

QR codes came crashing on the scene in 1994 but didn't hit the US with widespread usage until 2020-21. With a wider understanding of what they are and how to use them, businesses can now integrate them into their own marketing!

Canva has multiple app integrations that allow you to create generic and even photo-style QR codes for your next design.

3 - Add brand logos to your designs with ease

Brandfetch is one of my favorite new apps, mainly for the reason of adding Canva's logo to designs without having to copy and paste it or go digging through my photos for it!

This incredible app allows you to use brand logos and colors from the biggest brands in the world, including Amazon, Google, Adobe, North Face, and yes, even Canva.

This hack alone has saved me a ton of time just from using the Canva logo! What logos and colors will you add?
